The Gus Fraenkel Medical Library is named in honour of the late Emeritus Professor Gus Fraenkel, the founding Dean of the School of Medicine.
The Library provides a library service to the University, including the College of Medicine and Public Health, and to the Flinders Medical Centre.
There are reading and study areas in the library, and the borrowing facilities are available to any student in the University.
Staff from the Flinders Medical Centre have dual access to Library services and resources via both the SA Health Library Service and the Flinders University Library (including the Gus Fraenkel Medical Library, the Sturt and Central Campus libraries).
The Library's online catalogue, FindIt@Flinders, provides details of the books, journals and other materials held by each library along with details of our extensive electronic resources.
Artworks from the western Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands are on display in the Medical Library.
The Medical Library is located on level 5, Building E of the Flinders Medical Centre, adjacent to the College of Medicine and Public Health. After-hours access is via the main entrance of the hospital and the Frog lifts.
